I'm wondering what Rose's terminal lung disease is. Cancer? They never said! |
TB |
You know Rose Selfridge was a real person who you can look up, right? She died from pneumonia in 1918.
And is Henri not one of the hottest characters on TV? |
He is indeed. Agnes, however, drives me crazy. She's lovely to look at, but her halting, stammering way of talking sends me over the deep end. And I love Josie with the Belgian boarder (can't remember his name). She deserves to be happy. He is also tres hot. |
I assumed Agnes' stammer is character driven. She's charming. I love her. The characters on this show are so engaging. Yes!!! I'm so glad that Josie is finally getting some well-deserved happiness. I couldn't believe Grove's gall in suggesting that they continue their Thursdays after marrying and betraying her with the new young, fertile wife. Unbelievable, ha, not really. |
Well, they take liberties with real life people in TV, n'est pas? And oui--Henri is tres chaud! |
Exactly. I'm the OP and yes, I did know that Harry and Rose Selfridge were real people, but there are a lot of aspects to the TV show that are probably fictional or very loosely based in fact. So I thought I'd check to see how Rose the character would be dying, as opposed to Rose the real person. |
I checked Wikipedia, no record of Harry being a spy... So yes, they are taking liberties. |
Is anyone watching the latest season (3) on PBS?
I find it ridiculous that Agnes is oblivious to how bad the Battle of Verdun was. |
Keep watching. I wonder what future the LeClairs have for the rest of the season?
I like this show, but it drags a little. Breaking every scene up just as soon as it gets going. But ooh, trouble in Selfridge Homes for the Heroes!? Scandal! |
Agnes drives me more and more crazy. It's the way she speaks - so annoying!! |
