I just tried Google and got a ton of hits. Who knew it was such a big mystery? General consensus seems to be he had it straightened, probably through a keratin treatment.

| As someone with naturally curly hair my guess would be that he has naturally curly hair that he "nurtured" with lots of product and scrunching in his younger years. Now he (or someone else) blow dries. My hair was super curly and could have been coaxed into timberlake-like curls in my early 20's, but now it is more wavy than curly and much easier to get smooth than corkscrew curly. Maybe his hair matured the same way. |

Since he doesn't do pageants anymore he doesn't need a perm.
No need to rock the toddlers and tiaras look if you aren't on the circuit.
