This seemed like the most unlikely arrest of all time. They both seemed so mild mannered. I guess the Quaaludes wore off.

I thought that article on CNN about it was hilarious!
I didn't realize he was married to Edie. Quite an age difference, but I love them both and think they are brilliant. |
I knew they were married but I can't believe it's been 20+ years.... |
Who cares? |
Marriage is a walk on a slipper rock. |
Ha! Indeed. |
Wild! Didn't know they were married, let alone married for 25 years with three kids between 16 and 20 years old.
They sound like an interesting couple! |
I love the idea of them as a couple. What a cool family. I read this a while ago but it's stuck with me, because I thought it was so neat:
Brickell was performing on NBC's Saturday Night Live on Saturday November 5, 1988 when she noticed Simon standing in front of the cameraman. "Even though I'd performed the song hundreds of times in clubs, he made me forget how the song went when I looked at him," she said with a smile. "We can show the kids the tape and say, 'Look, that's when we first laid eyes on each other.' |
That's very cool. More so that they seem to have a long, happy marriage. |
^^ This X 1000. If I live to be 100, I will never understand why people give a flying rat's ass about the lives of celebrities. |
Watching their court footage this morning was fairly interesting. I got the impression that Edie was the aggressor and may abuse Paul. The size and age difference are in her favor. |
She said she picked the fight. |
Paul didn’t want to discuss it and she did. He tried to leave and she kind of locked the door.”
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover . . . without getting arrested. |
Although it sounds like it was mostly her "meddling" mother. |
Good one. Just slip down the hall, Paul. |
