How long does it take to get into House of Cards?

| I have watched three episodes of the first season. Everyone says it's great but so far I find it slow. I don't work on Cap Hill nor do I care much about the ins and outs of DC politicking. Do you have to be interested in that to get into the show? |

| I'm hooked on all the relationships and scheming, but the politicking gets old. My least favorite episodes are the ones that revolve around getting a certain amount of votes to pass some bill or other. |
