I have watched three episodes of the first season. Everyone says it's great but so far I find it slow. I don't work on Cap Hill nor do I care much about the ins and outs of DC politicking. Do you have to be interested in that to get into the show? |
I can't get into it either, OP, but I am the same way -- I don't care about the ins and outs of politicking. Huge yawn. |
No, I don't think you do. It took about 4-5 episodes for me to get into it. |
The second season isn't that great anyway. It's probably not for you. |
It took us 1/2 an episode. I'd give up if I were you. |
+1 we were hooked immediately |
i also watched 2 episodes and fell asleep while watching both, super slow. Started watching downton abbey and stayed up ever since and I was thinking downton would be slower being british , 1920 and all |
The show speeds up,. Much of the first few episodes introduces the characters and lays the background for later episodes. |
I was hooked from the first episode. |
I'm not much into politics, but I got into it once I got used to Spacey's very stylized acting. Took a few episodes. |
I was hooked from the beginning. Had some nice binge watching marathons over the last month and watched them all. I adore Kevin Spacey. |
I'm hooked on all the relationships and scheming, but the politicking gets old. My least favorite episodes are the ones that revolve around getting a certain amount of votes to pass some bill or other. |
If you are in to politics, you will not be in to this. It's really has nothing to do with politics other than the Washington as a back drop. I could not get in to either. |
OP try Alpha House on amazon. |
