Scandal - does she cry in every scene?

It is comical- she ltely tears up in every scene? Whomever she speaks with? The show had such possibilities some time ago! Now she just cries and has trembling lips.

There is a certain look she recycles in just about every scene for this character. I wonder if the real Olivia Pope had the same twitch and the directors are encouraging her to emulate it? It is pretty distracting though - she seems terrified or so overcome with sexual desire that she can't control herself in just about every scene. They should vary it up a bit! This is supposed to be a strong, influencial woman after all.

Kerri's not like that in all roles though - I first noticed her in Save the Last Dance and she was a lot less shaky, no trembling, with that character. She had the same walk of confidence though - she does that well.

I agree! She uses this same look scene after scene. DH calls it the wounded deer look.

DH won't watch Scandal anymore because of that look.

Well she is expecting! They are obviously trying to cover her pregnancy by having her cross her arms and carry a huge purse. Anyway, as much as I adore KW, the absurdity of the show drives me bonkers. It's beyond far fetched.

PP again. And, I continue to watch it!

Yes, I call it the deer caught in headlights look. It's really annoying. The best actors on the show play Millie and Cyrus. I like all the other actors too. But KW gets on my nerves. This was true last season too, so it's not because she's pregnant.

Her character has so much potential, but she ruins it with her awful "deer in headlights" and "can't control my lust" looks in every scene.

I'm done with this show.

She's an incredibly weak and dependent and pathetic female protagonist, and spews all sorts of empowering statements. I find her hypocrisy maddening. There are few redeeming qualities to this show.

YES. I tried to watch the show but couldnt take her quivering lips and overacting. Give me a break....

It seems like it is a Saturday Night Live parody (and not a good one) of a real TV show.

I totally agree. As an actress, she just doesn't have much depth.

I think she is a terrible actress. I can't watch her.

Have you ever seen her in anything else? This show has jumped the shark high this season, but she's been in lots of stuff not acting like this.
