Any tips for a trip to great wolf lodge?
A friend just went and. she said to rent a cabana so that you don't have to fight for a cabana with all the other people.
Agree with the above unless you want to stake out a table all day. Try to make it to Colonial Williamsburg at least once and maybe Busch Gardens. The water park gets boring after a full day there, IMO unless you have small kids.
One adult per child.
Buy one beer in the water park. The. Use the cup they give you to refill your own, cheaper beer, from a cooler in your room. Wear your suit under clothes/cover up to the hotel. Changing rooms are tiny and can get crowded.
Why do you need a cabana?
Let your kids try MagiQuest. My boys 9 and 11 adore it. They will play for hours.
There is a nearby Walmart and pizza restaurant, if you want to avoid overpriced food/snacks/last-minute forgotten things from GWL.
Bedbug spray.
Stay there only one night.
Ie stay away |
If you have an only child, bring her/his best friend so you don't have to get in the water. Drink drink and more drinking. Plan on seeing lots of interesting people. That said, the kids love it. Take my DC regularly, with a best friend.
No need for a cabana. Wash hands frequently. Bath the kids at night. Magicquest is great and so is the water park. We cooked in the room - microwave meals and I brought our plug in griddle.
Bring a bathrobe for each person to wear back to the room so you don't have to change there. Flip flops!!!
|
Bring your own beach towels, which are likely bigger and more comfy than the ones they provide. Have one member of your party go in with the group when the waterpark doors open. Use the beach towels to stake out a table. Go have breakfast and then come back to your table.
They will perform a bedbug inspection in front of you if you wish at check-in time. We did that the first year; didn't bother the second year. |
