Buy Buy Baby coupon/ mailing list?

Anonymous
Hi, Just looking for advice here on how to get a buy buy baby coupon. I heard that if you sign up for their mailing list that you will receive a one-time 20% off one item coupon. I signed up for the virtual list (no snail mail option) but have not received a welcome email or any coupon. I called their number but didn't get a sufficient answer from their representatives (none of them seem to understand buy buy baby policy, but only knew about Bed bath beyond policy).

A sales rep in Springfield told me that many customers are complaining about not receiving their coupons for the registry when they sign-up online so the store recommends signing-up in store...but the rep did tell me that I would receive the coupon if I signed-up for the mailing list online.

Has anyone had a similar experience and / or know the best way to get a coupon?

Thanks!

I heard you can use the bed, bath and beyond coupons also - as they own Buy Buy Baby. Does anyone know if this is true?

There have been previous posts about being able to use Bed Bath and Beyond coupons at buy buy baby. I think that folks have mentioned that they aren't valid on some brands, but pretty much everything else in the store...

I can tell you from first hand experience--they will DEFINITELY take Bed bath and beyond coupons (they are owned by the same company and if you read the fine print it even goes into detail on the coupon about all the limitations on baby products that are not even sold at BBB so it's referring to buy bb. They will not let you use it on clothes which I thought was ridiculous-I couldn't use it on a hat/mitten combo. They won't let you use it on diapers. You can use them ONLY if they are not expired vs at Bed bath and beyond will take expired coupons. On some strollers and car-seats they will let you take off 10% instead of the full 20 with the coupon. IT's worth keeping them-they will let you use one per item if you have a bunch!

OP here. I got a response by email from their customer service rep. I was informed that you MUST elect the snail mail option to receive coupons; however, she states that it can take 3 MONTHS to get on the mailing list and that their company doesn't send coupons to everyone, everywhere, each time. Only select locations, select customers for select merchandise.
I called the store and they told me they do accept the BBbeyond at BBbaby coupons with exceptions. They also said that they don't give out coupons at the store. BUT if you tell them: I never received my 20% off coupon then they'll give you the 20% off.
I'm starting to hate baby shopping. 3 months to get on a mailing list?!

Buy Buy Baby is weirdly uptight about their mailing list. When I was pregnant, they refused to let you sign up online or on the phone, so I trekked in there to sign up at customer service. Then it didn't take, so I did it again. Then when my mom wanted to sign up, I told her she had to do it in person, so she went in, and they told her they wouldn't take her name in person, she HAD to do it online. Argh. So good luck with that. But eventually you'll start getting those nice coupons and it'll be worth it...

There might be exceptions but did they tell you that their own 20% off coupon has those exceptions too? Not worth all the frustration-just use the bed bath beyond coupons-they mail them out every second-I always have like 10 at any given time!

I've been told that the buy buy baby coupons are only mailed out once every 3-4 months. So it makes sense that you might not get one for about 3 months.

I've been told different things about the bed bath and beyond coupons, including the fact that buy buy baby will only accept them on merchandise that bed bath sells on their website. (If you go to the bed bath website you'll see that they do sell a ton of baby items, and it is not the same as what is available on buy buy baby's website). But in practice they seem to be more lenient in accepting the bed bath coupons in the store, so I always bring them just in case. they won't accept expired ones however.

I used 3 Bed Bath & Beyond coupons at Buy Buy Baby just yesterday. There is NO exception to their use except as stated on the front of the coupon. For example, Bugaboo is excluded, and a few other major brands allow only a 10% discount (Dutailier). (Note: the older coupons did not have these exclusions and exceptions stated on the coupon, but now they do.)

Buy Buy Baby is exceptionally generous with the use of the coupons. The only requirement is that the coupon must be current. This is the only thing that sets it apart from Bed Bath & Beyond, which will accept its own expired coupons.

Also, I recently signed up for the coupons through the Bed Bath & Beyond website (based on an ad I saw in In Style magazine). I received my first electronic coupon a few hours later, so I know this works. But getting them through the mail or newspaper is easiest. Just have your friends save them for you, but make sure you get them before they expire!

We had several BedBB coupons that were older, did not specify BuyBB limitations and that were not expired. I was able to use them on a maclaren stroller and an expensive Peg Per. high chair. If you have any older coupons they honor them on anything.

I just got the latest Buy Buy Baby mailer last week. There is a coupon for $50 off any furniture purchase of $250 or more. I've already bought my furniture and so I won't be using this coupon -- but I hate to see it go to waste. I will happily mail it to someone who needs it. Just shoot me an email (sunrise930 at yahoo dot com) and I will drop it in the mail to you tomorrow.

i was looking at the Buy Buy Baby COupon and tehre doesn;t seem to be any limitations on furniture from AP Industries. Anyone ever bought a crib using the coupon?

Just one more point - Buy Buy Baby accepts competitors coupons, as long as they are current. I was able to use two, 20% off BRU coupons on our furniture.

We bought our crib at Buy Buy Baby close to two months ago, and just got a mailer with two coupons last week...want to think one was a 20% off one and the other was $5 off a clothing purchase.
