Fogo de Chao with toddler

Anonymous
Going to Fogo de Chao with my 15 mo old next week for lunch. Just looking for tips for folks who have been there with toddlers.

Oh hell no, don't do that. Wow. Just, no.

Make other arrangements. Don't be an asshole parent. It's not a place for a little kid. But you already knew that.

You have to tell me why. This is stupid to just freak out about it. Another DCUM thread listed it as a place to take kids. Is your problem that you don't want to be bothered by kids at restaurants? Do you even have kids?

No restaurant is good for a little kid. Do you people have kids? Get of DCUM if you don't have kids.

It isn't kid friendly. It is really a work lunch place, not for kids.

If this doesn't work out, there is always Ruth Chris steakhouse

It's free for kids 5 and under and half priced for 6-10 year olds. How is a restaurant that offers children's menu/pricing not kid-friendly?

I've never eaten there, but this is straight from their web page -

Children 6 and under are complimentary. Children 7 to 12 are half price.

Seems pretty kid -friendly to me.

It's a big, spacious restaurant and loud . I don't see why taking a kid there is a problem.

I would rather take my kid there than lots of other places in downtown (ie, all of them with entrees over $15.)

Back to the OQ. What kind of tips were you looking for? Like take the kid out if he starts crying? Don't touch the knives? It's a restaurant so act like you're in a restaurant with a toddler. Don't interrupt other people and be mindful that there are other patrons besides you and your little snowflake.

No, no. Looking for things like "great changing tables" or "there was this great museum around the corner." Or maybe "don't let them seat you by X because it was super loud."

This is exactly right. Ive taken my toddlers there and i thought it was great for kids.

I have not been there with my toddler but am shocked at how many people think it's a no-no. I would take my toddler there to a lunch or early dinner without batting an eye. It's nice but no Michelin starred restaurant or anything. If they have child's seats to offer it is toddler appropriate.
