What does it mean when someone has consistently low C02 blood levels?

Anonymous
I recently had blood work done and my C02 levels are low and in reviewing my lab report from April, 2013, the levels were low at that time as well. Prior to that, the levels were normal. Should I be concerned?

How low? Are these from an arterial blood gas or just a venous draw?

If your CO2 levels are low, you might have kidney disease as the result of diabetes. Have you had a fasting blood sugar done?

Do you hyperventilate when they draw blood?

Not an athlete. I'm a bit overweight and the blood was drawn venously after fasting each time. The level the past two times has been 15 down from 25 in 2012.

dehydration. both times. probably from fasting. was it a super long time?

aka - fasted starting at MN, but ended up getting the blood drawn at 10?
