Restaurant Recommendation halfway between Gaithersburg and Annapolis

My friends and I are trying to find a place to meet somewhere in "the middle" for dinner. Trying to avoid the beltway at all costs during rush hour so was thinking Columbia. Has anyone been to Victoria Gastro Pub? Had good reviews online, but you never know with yelp. I looked at restaurants in Laurel, but didn't find anything appealing. All suggestions welcome! Thanks

Try Pasta Plus in Laurel. It's great. In a sad little strip shopping center, but don't let that scare you away.

Another vote for Pasta Plus.

Cuba de Ayer in Burtonsville is great, too.

Although no matter where you go, won't one of you have to use the Beltway at some point?

Thanks PP's for the recommendations! Pasta plus looks great. I can take ICC to 95, they can take 97 to 32.

You could still take the ICC and the NH Ave exit and local roads to route 1.
