That is heartbreaking! What do you think happened to Brad Bishop? I think he took his life and that the alleged sightings overseas were not really of him. |

I think he did it, I think he is dead by now. they exhumed a body in TN a few years back of a drifter who they thought might have been him and it wasn't. There was a bank robbery in Potomac later in March of 76 by a kid Robbie Angell 18- year old who lived near Bishop in the same neighborhood and was finally apprehended in NC after killing two Montgomery County Police Officers in the fields by Montgomery Mall-the over pass over the spur is named after the two officers Cpl. John M. Frontczak & Capt. James E. Daly Jr. Bishop was seen in NC and Angell's middle name is Daly. I often wonder if they were connected. Perhaps they knew each other and Bishop needed money after the murders. I just find it odd that two people in the same neighborhood weeks apart commit such violent crimes. Oh and Angell killed a 17 year old on Seven Locks road the year before |

CEDARBURG WI MURDERED BY STRANGULATION IN HER GARAGE ON JULY 8 2016. STAGED TO LOOK LIKE A SUICIDE. NEVER REPORTED IN NEWS AS THIS IS A RICH WHITE SUBURB AND IT CREATES A BAD IMAGE WHEN THERE IS CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IN RICH WHITE AREAS. POSSIBLY MORE THAN ONE MURDER? |
New poster. That specific necklace was a subject in a thread on DCUM very recently. Thread was about pandemic splurge purchases and there was a bunch of back and forth about that necklace style. I figure that's why the first PP above references a "real" one, to show us he or she knows this exact necklace when she or he sees one. The point is that the killer (or killers, since there has long been a belief that another person was involved) didn't have enough brains to steal tons of expensive jewelry while in the house for hours. But I've never heard: Was the guy who was convicted caught with any jewelry or other items from the house? Maybe he was. I do agree that the case always seemed like there was more to it, but I also think the convicted killer would have sold out any accomplices or anyone who paid him, long before now, and we'd have heard about it. |

NP. Pretty sure it was just the cash and the Porsche, even though there were many other valuables in the home, including additional cash. He did try to pin it on his brothers during the trial, but they were shown to be elsewhere at the time. He has asked for a new trial, so perhaps he'll name someone else if that happens. |

Very strange update on the Bishop case: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/09/us/kathy-gillcrist-william-bradford-bishop-jr.html?action=click&module=News&pgtype=Homepage |
This is not true. The vast majority of the time (regardless of class or neighborhood) family/friends of the deceased are going to dispute suicide if they think foul play was involved. As you say there is no news story of this woman but what makes you think it was murder? Did you know her personally? |
Me too. AA County has a new police chief. Hope she puts some attention to it. |
I read up on this case because it's local. What a terrible tragedy. One detail caught my eye because it's relevant to today. The WashPost article, or maybe another local publication from that era, mentioned that gang rapes were common in the drug-using circle that this girl was hanging with. They were called train rapes, or something like that. It reminded me of the Kavanaugh Senate hearings with that one woman and others suggesting something like train rapes were going on in MD suburbs. It's more believable when other Maryland cases allege the same thing in the same generation of youth. No wonder nobody is talking. |
