Apparently they wanted questions in writing before the meeting? Towson |
That meeting was for Baltimore County. The speaker kept saying his kids were in Howard County schools. He was at the wrong meeting. |
Do you agree with manhandling and asking for questions in writing prior?
|
Written questions are pretty common. Nobody wants to sit through a speech from every person in the audience. That guy was giving a speech which is a perfect example of why you want written questions. Would you have considered that man to have been manhandled he was a member of the Occupy movement? He's lucky he didn't get pepper sprayed. |
For what? Free speech? He wasn't blocking a street |
Actually, the meeting itself was a speech The pre-submitted questions give the appearance of interaction without having to be challenged. In these situations, it's one's civic duty to speak up. To be manhandled for speaking your mind is pretty serious.
OWS were able to set up camps, etc. the ones who blocked traffic, assaulted people, etc were manhandled. |
This is sickening. |
Um yeah, those outstanding Maryland schools that we always hear about are not in Baltimore. |
The man's point was that the Common Core standards have the goal of preparing kids for community college? WTF?
As a teacher, and as someone with children in both elementary and middle school in MD... I have to tell you the Common Core standards are in my opinion BETTER than the former, MD state standards. Much better. I'm especially pleased with the math standards. |
That recording had to be the highlight of that security guards professional life on so many levels. |
I don't know if he should've been charged, but the man had his say, even in violation of the rules of the meeting requiring written questions (which, where time is limited and you want to (a) let as many people contribute as possible and (b) be able to actually answer the questions asked, is a great way to proceed). And he kept going, even though the panelists said his question would be addressed. He didn't want to ask a question. He wanted to disrupt the meeting. They were right to throw him out. |
The belligerence of the common core opponents is more sickening. Fucking right-wing nut jobs, the lot of them. |
That's horseshit, you have no idea where he was coming from. CC is just as opposed by the left, more so even, than the right. |
Code Pink interrupting most anything. Brave underdogs speaking truth to power! Man interrupts CC meeting. Fucking right-wing nut job. I tell you what, he'll be getting off light if he only gets 1 or 2 years in prison for assaulting a police officer. I mean come on just watch the video. The police officer should have also tasered his punk ass. |
