double ovens and 36 inch cooktops

Can someone tell me just how often they actually use two ovens and five burners. I have one oven and four burners and cook every day.
I would say that once in the last ten years I felt like I needed another burner and occasionally needed another oven just to keep food warm.

We got a double oven range and I rarely use it. I though I would use it more, but just a few times a year. I can't imagine using 5 burners at once but we do not have tons of parties. In less you have a huge house, it seems overkill. I can see two ovens, but I rarely use more than two burners.

i use my two ovens quite frequently. very very very rarely have a need for 5 burners. we have been looking a little at different houses, and having a double oven is a dealbreaker. wouldn't really care about the 4 vs 5 burners.

We have a 30" (induction) range, and I wish I had more space - not necessarily because Ine 5 burners but because I often find my pots crammed together. When we remodel I plants put Ina 36" induction cooktop and an oven/speedoven combination, probable the GE Advantium.

I never used my double oven. Sometimes I would use the bottom (non-convection) less popular oven so it wouldn't feel bad. Next house, just going to focus on one nice range I think. What are the microwave / convection combos people are going for these days in lieu of a double oven?

Don't have a double oven, but regarding a cooktop, I don't think it's the number of burners, but the placement. Ours has four, one small flame on right corner and the other corners are large and medium sized. When you put the pots on the flame, on in front, one in back--they don't have enough room.

I use my double oven any time I entertain, holidays, and baking cookies. So not all the time, but it comes in handy.

We have a 36 inch free standing range with six full size burners for the flexibility. Each one can simmer or deliver 18000 btu of heat. I can then arrange my pots and pans freely however they fit best. Most of the time, I use up to 3 of the burners at the same time. Rarely, four. But all six burners get used regularly. Hope that makes sense.

I use my 2 ovens pretty maybe once every 2 weeks, so I think it's useful. I have 4 burners on my stove top and sometimes they are all being used and it feels crowded, but I've never needed more than 4 at the same time. I wouldn't turn down a stove with more burners though.

Let me ask my staff what they use

I use both of my ovens quite often. It's nice when two things need to be cooked at different temperatures.

We have a really large kitchen but opted for tons of continual counter space rather than install a double wall oven.

What do you double oven lovers think of this would it pass the test? The bottom oven is full size and it has a built in look

I use my double ovens all the time. It would be a pain to live with only one. I've used 3 of the 5 burners on my cooktop on many occasions. I don't use the back burners with the lower btu's very often.

@21:47 , I am thinking of the viking range with sealed burners. I don't think I would bother with two ovens. Even though it says the bottom one is full sized, I hate having my racks crammed in like that for some reason, so this wouldn't work for me. The top one is really too tight for comfort!

I also don't like the oven (someone mentioned the GE advantium) over the range. It reminds me of the 60s kitchen configurations. Maybe in the wall with a wall oven would be OK.

What do people think about things above the range versus a hood?
