| Good school? Well thought of? Hard to get into? Southern feel? |

way easier to get into compared to its peers.
not a southern feel at all. tons of tri-staters great education, fantastic opportunities, all the top consulting firms recruit there, good student body size. everyone i know that has gone there has been happy with their experience. |
| in a lovely part of Atlanta - I used to live nearby. |
| People there are unnaturally attractive, to an extreme degree. |

as a top 25 USNWR school, why is emory's acceptance rate so high compared to its peers?
And no, don't tell me it is self selecting students because it does not have the the student body/application pool of Chicago or certain schools like Computer Science at CMU. I know CMU's is high overall (relatively speaking) for its peers because of shitty fin aid(low endowment), crappy student-life, tough grading, terrible weather/un-sexy city... what's emory's excuse? massive endowment, really great nabe and city that has lots of corp hq's for year-round internships, good professional schools, good recruiting for 'elite' occupations...yet it is markedly higher than duke, jhu, gtown, vandy, northwestern, etc. |
| If your DC was seriously looking at Emory, what other schools was he/she looking at seriously? |
