Interesting thought. |
The EMT was presumably focused on the patient, not thoroughly searching for the willingly brought to the scene so fingerprinted yet not bloody knife vs the perfectly identified from a fetish app picture and easily purchased identical bloody murder weapon that … evaporated? |
One might assume it would have fallen next to JR when he was shot, say be near his hand that may have opened when he was writhing in pain. But, not readily seen. Hmmm.
|
And why wouldn’t have the AP render aid since she had a trained to be a nurse in Brazil? |
Trying to follow all the updates on this case. Has there been any information on whether the knife that was used to stab CB been found or not? If they can’t find the knife, doesn’t that clear JR and debunk the AP’s story? |
The AP goes to trial at the end of July. More details will be known then, if not delayed. Re: knife, an EMT testified at preliminary hearing that he did not see knife. That does not mean any more than that. This is a decent recap https://www.ffxnow.com/2024/04/02/murder-case-against-reston-au-pair-tied-to-fatal-shooting-moves-closer-to-trial/ |
Here is a theory reg the knife: what if BB stabs CB, leaves w the knife and gets rid of it ( at McDonalds, or something)—since he was counting on JR bringing his own knife, which then BB would make sure it had blood, etc— but then JR did not bring a knife, and they only found out after killing him— maybe the reason of the different 911s and hang ups, as the were trying to adjust the plan. |
Interesting idea. |
Even if there weren’t security cameras at the Banfield home and/or they were turned off that day, they had to have been someone in the neighborhood with a ring camera that shows when Joe came versus when AP came back versus when BB arrived |
Re: the knife. Surely it was on the scene and the cops have it now.
If it was never recovered, that looks terrible for AP/BB, right? Because one of them must have disposed of it. It’s not like JR randomly stabbed CB out of the blue, disposed of the knife and then returned to the bedroom. |
+1. Add in phone records and cell phone pinging, LE should be able to piece together a good timeline of who was where, when. |
Let’s presume like most of us have all along that B is behind the whole thing. All AP would have to do to salvage her life is to obviously implicate B. As far as her actions she could claim she was told to shoot JR by her “law enforcement” employer/lover. She felt pressure, confusion, anxiety and a loss of conscious reality. If her confession secures B’s conviction I think charges against her would be dropped and she’d be deported. If that’s even a remote possibility I don’t understand why her lawyer wouldn’t be urging her to tell all.
But then again she’s psycho. In court they released texts of hers to other area Brazilian au pairs in which she was looking to go out to bars that hosted Brazilian dance parties. This a mere three weeks after she had shot someone and seen another person bleeding to death. . |
I totally agree with the above concerning the timing and the fact that JR would have high tailed it out of there if he walked in on a mortally wounded CB. I’d alsolike to think that CB was stabbed by BB beforehand but have the same reservations as PP above. |
Ap’s lawyer is paid for by the Banfields. There is a reason her lawyer isn’t trying to get her to flip. It wouldn’t bode well for their other paying client. |
How do we know for certain AP’s lawyer is being paid by BB? And this may be naive in this day and age but would the lawyer be professionally and ethically bound to do the best for his client who is the AP no matter who is footing the bill? |
