The bestschools.org just published a list is of the 50 Best Private schools which do NOT accept boarders which will be ranked in another article.
Note: St. Albans is ineligible for this the day school list because it accepts boarders. Here's where they listed schools in the DC Metro area: 15. National Cathedral 32. Potomac School 35. Maret School 44. Sidwell Friends http://www.thebestschools.org/blog/2013/04/30/50-private-day-schools-united-states/ |

According to the companion article about top-50 public schools, the best public school in the DMV area is George Mason High School in Fairfax. No other public high school in DC, MD, or NoVa even made the list. Sorry Thomas Jefferson, Blair, Wootton, Wilson, Walter Johnson, Winston Churchill, McLean, Langley, etc. Better luck next time.

Yes and the top 10 are nationally known by name recognition & reputation.
|
| Huh, If Deep Springs College is the #1 college in the country, then that is ALL I need to know about the quality and credibility of ALL these rankings! |
| I'd like to give that credibility since I went to the #1 school but I saw so many errors in that article that it cannot be taken seriously. |
|
George Mason HS is actually in the Falls Church City school district. Sorry, Fairfax County Public Schools.
George Mason High School (GMHS) is a comprehensive public high school located near Washington, DC. The school is unusual in serving grades 8–12, making it one of the rare five-year high schools in the U.S. First school in Virginia to become an accredited IB institution |

The group behind this list "the Best Schools.Org" is linked to the Discovery Institute the "brains" behind the "intelligent design" creationist movement - the main purpose is evidently to push their wierd college rankings:

The same site has a list of "50 smartest people of faith" and guess what? They all have light skin EXCEPT Dr. Ben Carson and Condi Rice - who knew?

Another thing you might not know without "thebestschools.org:
Darwinists have been protecting a shrinking turf using ridicule, rhetoric, and religion for over a century http://www.thebestschools.org/bestschoolsblog/2013/01/02/intelligent-design-theory-making-progress-radar/ |
| I take those rankings with a grain of salt. They are meaningless. |
Not meaningless, they provide great insight into what the wingnuts are thinking. |
It's not only wingnuts that are thinking about rankings. There are plenty of bleeding heart liberals who look at those rankings as God's word. |
I doubt that ANY liberal that knew what "thebestschools.org" was all about would embrace THESE rankings. |
| Laugh out loud at the NCS booster who posted this without investigating the source. |
| What NCS ding-a-ling posted this? Thanks for the giggle. |
