Thank you for this. I have been dying to know what is going on since her first “we’re deeply hurting in our lives” post last month. I narrowed it down to Brandon based on subsequent posts with everyone else in her life. Affair for sure. I love Jen, and while she always gushed about Brandon, she kept it real too, always being honest about how hard marriage can be. Sad.

So 8 weeks ago she does a loving anniversary post to her husband. Four weeks ago she starts vague-blogging about something awful. A week and a half ago she allegedly files for divorce.

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen someone put a lovey dovey FB or IG post up and only to find out they are in couple's therapy, separated not long after or whatever. All the world is a stage with peope putting on crazy performances.

This is why I think it was a bit deeper than just cheating. A short term affair, emotional affair, or one night stand doesn't always end up tipping over the 25 year old apple cart so dramatically/quickly. A love child or long term relationship type of affair absolutely could though.

It takes balls to date a married man who publicly is happily married with five kids. There's no claim of ignorance by the OW.

Not gay. They would have planned a carefully orchestrated announcement, like Jessica and Matthew Paul Turner did a few weeks ago, particularly with their massive support of LGBQT.

My guess is an affair with a deeply personal friend. Someone their family knew , had worked with, etc. It cut to the quick.

Hmmm. Thinking. Or it could be that he's not as LGBQT supportive as he claimed to be, and after their daughter came out, said or did something harmful? I can see her bailing and bailing quick on that one.

Good point. i don't think she'd be a drama queen if he were gay. They grew up very religious and probably in an anti-gay environment. Her daughter is gay and she accepts that with love and encouragement. I think they'd be best friends if that were the case and she'd be able to be happy for him for being true to who he was, though mourning the end of a marriage.
