We are living through literally, the most corrupt and treasonous administration and you are harping on Obama's economic team as if there is any equivalency whatsoever.

Yes, a lot of people, me included, didn't like the Wall Street self dealing, but it pails in comparison to what this country is being put through right now. The very core of our Republic is being tested.

I think there are some important technical questions here. Does a bribe have to be acted on to be a bribe?

Practically speaking, if it wasn't acted on as promised/intimated, what recourse would ATT have? Not as though they could yell out HEY we paid you guys and now you're not playing!

Novartis stated that Cohen promised access to Trump. Even if Trump had no knowledge of it, this whole thing makes Cohen look like a sleaze ball, and this guy represented Trump. Sleaze ball representing a sleaze ball. One wonders what other sleazy thing Cohen did on behalf of Trump.

You realize that Washington is awash in this sort of sleazball, right? Every lobbyist that sells their influence can be painted with the same brush. But come on, you already knew Cohen was a major.....I've met the guy on multiple occasions and it takes about 3 seconds for anybody with a modicum of intelligence to puck up what he's giving off.

Yep, and that's why Dems pushed for campaign finance laws, and the Rs (Tea party especially) fought against.

It was the liberals who tried to limit this kind of influence, and the Rs who wanted to keep it.
