You could have a miscarriage or your baby could end up with multiple birth defects and developmental problems. Congenital rubella syndrome, or CRS, is the name given to the pattern of problems caused when a baby is born with the virus.

I hate that people refuse this vaccination! This disease used to be pratically erradicated in the US and now all these crunchy people have allowed it to pop in clusters all over the US. Dumb.dumb.dumb.

OMG, measles and rubella are not the same disease. They are vaccinated against in the same shot. Yes, no wonder a gifted school was on the list; sounds like no one on your side of the argument will be enrolling any kids there any time soon....

Yeah, why aren't people content to die from vaccine-preventable illnesses anymore? And how about all these people wanting surgery and antibiotics for illnesses people used to die from all the time? God, what DRAMA QUEENS. Just shut up and stop complaining about how irresponsible it is to let people die from this stuff, jerks!

I have not found a link, I remember it being talked about because the doctors office in question where both patients were- does not accept children who are un-vaccinated. I have done some searching and most articles don't state either way but say it was contracted outside of the country. I have seen is written but not confirmed one way or the other but a poster from the original thread spoke to the child's ped...
