Beauty and the Beast

I love the music, love that the "princess" is beautiful AND smart

I think the music in Beauty and the Beast is amazing -- I love the lyrics to almost every song.

Tangled had the best script.

Robin Hood is my favorite 'classic' movie. The songs are cute, the characters are interesting. It's great.

I think the Little Mermaid is awful as far as plot goes. Some of the songs are really great and the message about how it's tough being different is good, but it all gets lost in the "I'll give up my family/my whole life just to be with a man" message.

You have to admit that there is a problem with the idea that her love affair starts with a kidnapping and imprisonment. Even if it turns out well, it's a pretty creepy idea.

Hmmm

Lion King
Aladdin
Frozen
Monsters Inc
Tangled
Cinderella
Jungle book
Beauty and the beast
And the list goes on and on...total Disney addict here

Guess Disney should have stuck with the original fairy tale ending for The Little Mermaid to provide a stronger moral lesson.

Tangled. I love Maximus.
Brave. She isn't married at the end. About a girl and her mom instead of a girl and her prince.
Beauty and the Beast. Great songs and Belle is smart and brave.

I'm surprised more people aren't listing the old classics as their favorites. Those were the most "artful," IMO. Master animators at work.

Disney, not Pixar - because if you asked me to choose my favorite Pixar movie I would be in trouble.

Beauty and the Beast - Belle is a good role model
Princess and the Frog - Tiana is an even better one
Mulan - may be the best role model for girls in Disney
The Lion King - every element works in that movie

The reason that I don't choose the old classics is because those movies have useless women as their heroines.
