NuvaRing is going to be recalled. Look up deaths due to NuvaRing.

Lowers ovarian cancer risk by 40%. Grandmother died from it so this method was recommended.

Also eases transition into menopause.

I had vaginal births so no tubal and seems silly for DH to get a vasectomy when we probably only have a very small window for pregnancy (44 years old).

?? Why do women in their 40s make their husbands get vasectomies. I understand if you are in your mid-30s--but friends doing it at 45 baffle me. The window of fertility is almost gone. Why not something lesser for a few short years?

I am concerned that DH may step out on me and I don't want to him to bring home a half-sibling to my kids.

I have fibroids/horrible periods. If you're over the age of 40 with horrible periods, what birth control are you using. Ablation?
DH got a vasectomy after the birth of our second. Best thing ever.

Stack it? What does that mean?

There’s a whole decade of ovulating there. Why take the chance? Vasectomies are a very simple procedure.

Ugh, sorry the IUD doesn't work. I had my tubes tied after my second kid. But now I"m on an IUD because the perimenopause periods were no joke. I hope you can find something that works! No advice, just sending support.

I take low-dose JunelFe. It also reduces risk of endomentrial and ovarian cancer.
My perimenopausal periods were becoming terrible in terms of cramps and mood swings, and my ovulation pain was awful as well, with spotting and crying jags. It has evened all of this out. Now I spot from time to time (the first month was the worst) but it has really taken the edge off.
