OMG yum. I need to try this |
I have to find the sugar cookie egg nog...drink one cup and give the rest away! |
Tastes like eggs and nutmeg; not a fan. You could try making a small batch at home. |
The lesser quality bigs have a weird mouthfeel due to the thickening additives they use. Real egg nog from scratch is whipped until airy and light so it's kind of like drinking a cinnamon-scented creamy cloud. Trickling Springs nog is probably the best store bought variety but has more of a thick smoothie texture, like drinking a melted vanilla milkshake. The alcohol does help to balance the creaminess though extra nog tastes great in coffee and makes an excellent base for bread pudding, even ice cream. |
^^meant to read nog not big! |
It tastes like cake doughnut batter. |
I was wrong about this. Went to the store today and they all have raw egg |
So they are not ok in pregnancy? NP here and i never tasted it before but it sounds delicious. Do you think one from Starbucks would be ok to try when 9 months pregnant? |
The egg is pasteurized. |
too funny |
Thanks for bringing this crazy back to life. Do you think the OP tried eggnog? What is the verdict? |
Come sit over here next to me. |
It tastes like sweet nutmeg flavored mucus unless you make it yourself and then it is sublime.
