PP you responded to here again. When I think UA, tight-fitting shirts for muscle-ly men is what immediately comes to mind. If UA is striving to compete for the affluent outdoorswo/men and weekend warriors, the trendsetting teens and twenty-somethings, and the Asian and Latin American markets -- they have to do something to broaden that image. |
| Um, pretty much every yuppie kid, tween, teen and their sporty parents wear UA. |
| The name UA just makes me think of underarms. Hairy stinky underarms. So I'll stick to my granny Nike duds. |
Thank you thank you thank you! I am almost forty and when I looked at the picture, I thought: shit! This is how I must look to ppl. Glad you think he looks older |
Um, pretty much no yuppie kid, tween, teen or their sporty parent on the west coast wears UA. That is a large market, and little of that market cares to look like DC types, where I assume you get the impression that "pretty much every yuppie kid, tween, teen and their sporty parents wear UA." The west coast tastemakers include large Asian and Latino influences, markets which I am certain UA would like to tap, and I do not see many (or any) Asians or Latinos on the west coast wearing UA. |
In fact, if I were UA I would contract to outfit the United States military and military contractors (it looks like they do anyway based on every Army commercial I have ever seen). There is a lot of money to be made in government contracting, and it fits right into their market image of muscle men in tight-fitted shirts. |
Yes, the name UA is not very inspirational is it? In think that they should start a marketing campaign with the text message U A(re), as in U A(re) strong, inspirational, a fighter, fit, an outdoors conqueror, a free spirit, a hot momma. |
Wasn't there a Nike ad similar that? Nike, be <insert powerful adjective here>?? or am I making that up? another brand? |
Really? They look like totally average people to me. I was expecting to see the visual equivalent of Heidi Klum and George Clooney the way some people were going on about their looks. LOL. Now some opinions reallllly got put into perspective on this board. |
What did you expect? This is a town full of faces made for radio. The standards are way low here. |
\ Also to his elementary school, Holy Redeemer in Kensington, and the football program he played for, Maplewood in Bethesda. He's a loyal man. |

HA! Touche!!! I was just surprised. On page 1 someone said "Hubba hubba" (um, really?) and then someone else saying they were hot. Well. It may have been someone else, or it may have been the same person. The same lonely, sex-starved, partially blind person. |
if you would shave and shower more often this would go away. |
They look good to me. I'm glad not everyone looks like Heidi. GC never really knocked me off my feet, either. In this great nation, there's beauty in diversity. |
