Right, there are tons of "radical left" senators. Like who, Tom Harkin and Barbara Boxer? Sorry but those people are not "radical left".

Yes they are. Obama has a 100 % liberal voting grade. That's radical by definition.

Having a liberal voting record and being on the "radical left" are 2 completely different things. Name something completely radically left that Obama did. Obamacare doesn't count b/c that was a Heritage Foundation idea. You know, people are supposed to be responsible for themselves.

ObamaCare is about people being responsible for themselves? LOLOLOLOL.

I am very conservative. I do not like Ted Cruz at all. He antagonizes terribly. He DOES NOT SPEAK SPANISH. At Princeton, he wanted to pretend to be a WASP but now it is expedient to masquerade as LATINO. His big personal issue is that he cannot be president (born Canada) -- his ego is that large.

One term wonder unless he smarts up soon.

Wait he's not an American?

PP I did not say he's not american -- he is a citizen-- I said he's not eligible for president unless this whole birther thing makes people get reallly generous in construing the native born requirement. He was born in Canada.

As I said several days ago, Cruz was born in Canada to one U.S.-citizen parent and one non-U.S.-citizen parent.

It makes people buy insurance so they cannot sponge off of the rest of us when they end up in the ER.

Everyone? Some will still be sponging off others.

If he's not native born, then he's not constitutionally eligible to be president. It would be best if he considered "self-deportation."

Ted Cruz is a bully and an imbecile.

If that Princeton admission officer who read Cruz' file is still around, he'd better consider early retirement, fast. Letting Cruz in should be a career ender.

Although he was born in Canada, his mother was born here and spent most her life here. Therefore, there appears to be no question that he was a citizen at birth, i.e. natural born, as opposed to naturalized. The Constitution does not say "native born", but "natural born", so Cruz, like McCain, probably qualifies, although I don't think SCOTUS has ever ruled on the question. BTW, even if Obama had been born in Kenya, the same would apply to him, so the birthers are most likely making asses out of themselves for no reason.

I think the poster is being sarcastic. "Self deportation" is the clue.

That was exactly my point. Like half the country is convinced and outraged that Obama was born in Kenya and is therefore not a legitimate president. Cruz has the same exact situation as Obama if Obama actually had been born in Kenya instead of Hawaii following statehood: born in another country to one U.S.-citizen parent and one non-U.S.-citizen parent. So it should be interesting to see the exact same contingent that has railed against Obama and demanded his birth certificate then prop up Cruz by saying "Oh, HE's OK."

Except for we won't - at least I won't. If he's not eligible, he's not eligible. And I'm tea party, my friend.

OP, you're aware of his path to the Senate correct? I'm assuming no. It was straight thru establishment Republicans and Rick Perry's machine in TX. And before you bring up Perry's national performance, you should review how he handled KBH.

Like Rubio, Cruz will be a Cuban American Republican in the US Senate until he choses not to be or is promoted to AG.

Disagree. Cruz is a Tea Party darling, if he continues with the saber-rattling I could see an establishment Republican challenging him. BTW, he is Canadian. On another (totally unrelated) point, we was in my law school class and I still can't beleive that cutie is what turn into the gross looking guy that I now see on TV. Yikes, talk about letting yourself go!!
