Dont get fishnet stockings at business office/work...

Anonymous
There are plenty of fishnet-adjacent stockings that are appropriate for work: some have intricate patterns with really small holes that are quite beautiful. Large fishnets are a little vulgar, especially if too tight and worn with equally borderline clothes, but dress codes have relaxed so much in certain workplaces that I can understand why some people wear them.

Please also note that the exact same outfit worn by one person can seem risque, and on another person seem perfectly fine. "Fit" is very important.

What I find most inappropiate, however, is you, who are judging without even knowing where this person was going.

The thighs are the issue, not the fishnets

+1. Don't understand someone doing a search on a topic, reading a thread from more than a decade ago and thinking, yeah, I'm going to add my opinion. Just don't!

Guess it depends on the career path. Was she heading into a hotel room?

Hah I didn’t even notice the dates. I was just scrolling through the thread and saw the outfit pics and thought … man those are dated … people are definitely not still dressing like that but I guess with the usual advice here I shouldn’t be surprised … and I looked and it was literally a post from 2014, go fig. I wore a lot of patterned tights from 2010-2014ish at my jobs so it tracks!

I work with all men. I wouldn’t even wear a skirt or dress.

Flashback--graduated h.s. in 1972, we all wore fishnets and textured pantyhose (and regular pantyhose). It wasn't at all about being trashy back then. I remember white fishnets being pretty common as well.

I rarely go to the office but I use to wear nude small fishnets and loved them
