Thanks for clarifying. The parent seemed weirded out by the spring offer. So I thought it was worth mentioning. There is another new major in the architecture school that has a winter start and it seems like it's having trouble getting applicants because of that. |

The stats to the music and arts school are much lower than the general school profile. |
Somebody has be the best. Why not Michigan? |
Try getting into those schools without talent. |

I’m the biggest booster for Michigan on here, but that’s just a plain nasty comment. Wisconsin is never a mistake, let alone a huge one. A perfectly reasonable reason to attend Wisconsin over Michigan, or any highly ranked school, is $$$. |

I thought Michigan no longer considers legacy in admissions. Am I mistaken? |
20 Nobel prizes, 41 Pulitzer Prizes, 2 fields medalists and 39 members in the national academy of science. All of which is leading with Michigan. Not that Michigan is worse, but it is embarrassing that a school in a farmland is beating a school in a metro area of 5.5 million people in these categories…… It’s like if UCI was competitive was UCLA |
