I don't think that it's untrue that children get used as pawns in divorces. I just think it's unlikely that total strangers would be so invested in one couple's divorce that they would use their children to this extent.

In any way, if they are at the same elementary school you can certainly reach out to them via email. If true, this behavior is highly inappropriate and I would have no qualms about addressing it in an email.

Classmates and friends in school are hardly "total strangers" - the reason I mentioned the county was to send home the sense that it's a bit more close knit than Rosslyn or Silver Spring. Neighbors hang out here and we all see each other at the same places.

Sorry to be pedantic, but while Western Loudoun is historically red, the county swung for McAuliffe in the 2021 election. I would caution throwing around the word "stupid" in a thread where many can't correctly spell a word that is in the topic title.

Oh my mistake I never speak to any of my neighbors here in Silver Spring so had no frame of reference to help me understand your situation.

When told about bullying forms, and complaints to the teacher and school admin, that her friend can take action on to stop classroom harassment, she ignores those practical suggestions. She attacks everyone instead.
