Is it true you can dine and drink at a country club as a non-member?

How would you pay? It's always charged to the member's account. You can't pay cash or bring a credit card.

Clubs can take credit cards.

I’ve never heard of a non member being able to go in and dine.

Maybe that’s specific to Golf Courses not Country Clubs?

I regularly pay by card. I think I maybe the only one, but I've been a member for 15 years. I like the cash back - I'm cheap.

That's awesome, I honestly wish my club would allow that. With all the cash back, the dues practically pay themselves!

Just ask. Seriously, my club prefers payment by number and I never see anyone else doing this.

This was my first reaction. Why on earth?

Proximity and convenience when visiting family who live near one, with very limited dining options nearby.

Then you know the club you wish to patronize so let’s hear it and we will let you know.

Our VA CC requires a member number before you order.

I don't know why you'd want to - typically CC food is mediocre at best.

LOL so true!

I am in the Midwest at a very local CC and you can’t do this. If you just want to eat and go to the pool, we have social memberships.

Unless it's an ultra exclusive club, no GM is going to turn you away.

Yes, in fact they will.

You still need to give them your member number for the bill.
