Considering a third child but got a lot of joint pain after second

After being ruled out for autoimmune I was diagnosed with Lyme. Both pregnancies triggered joint pains that progressively worsened. Get an igenex test run. I would strongly avoid another pregnancy if positive.

Thank you!! I am taking turmeric with black pepper now. I will look into this!! Sitting for anymore than 10 mins makes me so stiff so I run around all day instead. I am a stay at home home during the week and I work 2 days on the weekend as a social worker. It’s ideal for me because I can move around and sit. A desk job wouldn’t be possible for me right now.

Pain in joints can also be inflammatory arthritis. I know you mentioned going to a rheumatologist, but there isn’t a definitive test for it other than sticking a needle in your joints. You may not fit the obvious profile for inflammatory arthritis but there are meds that you can try to see if they provide relief. They usually work within a day or 2.

Thank you. I have been two rheumatologists and they weren’t helpful. One referred me to a sports medicine doctor and he couldn’t help. He took X-rays of my knees which showed nothing wrong and then told me sometimes doctors can’t figure it out and don’t let this pain define me.
the first rheumatologist I saw wanted to wait until I was 1 year postpartum before giving me knee injections. I moved shortly after 1 year postpartum to a new state. Maybe a different speciality would be a good idea.
