Has anyone ever asked him about it before? Stern is famously not very physically active and not very selfless, so he’s someone who would be impressed with that. For someone who’s been a lifeguard it’s not a big deal. I’ve seen one team of guards have six saves in one day at the Jersey Shore.

Can people please listen to the interview before commenting? He lifeguarded at Lake Ontario in addition to the local pool. And six saves over one summer at a local pool wouldn’t be unusual.
