Wasn't this take your daughter to work day?!? |
Until the MAGAs decided they needed to get boys in on the act, too. |
MSs have a form to fill out, it's then excused 🙄 |
Our middle school just requests a parent note to excuse the absence--no need for child to fill anything out. |
It is nice that some of your workplace offers something for kids to do or observe on kids to work day. My workplace offer nothing, and kids will be just stuck next to me observing what I do or looking at ipad. |
Better than your child having to stay home when parents work from home! Kid: "so if I go to work with you I can be in pajamas and on the screen all day since that's what workers do?" yep, kid is going to school. |
Certainly not #Equitable. But hey, if you work for NIH, take advantage of that privilege and don’t worry about the rest of us peons! Enjoy the taxpayer funded activities provided for your kids!! We’re happy to pay for it. |
Sorry. Next time get a job at NIH, which is running all sorts of fantastic programs tomorrow for the MCPS students who are fortunate enough to have STEM inclined parents! |
NIH is special. Everyone should know that by now. It’s called The Fleecing of America. |
Our HS has MCAP testing tomorrow for some kids! Much distress on our list serve that some kids might have to miss the special NIH programming for MCAP testing. |
no thanks. we have plenty of that at home with stem inclined parents. |
What an outdated model of showcasing jobs in the 21st century. |
What’s your suggestion? |
My 9th graders thought it was like an official day off. I told them if they are absent they will have work to make up. Many talked about just staying home. I think MCPS really needs to set expectations. |
Add to the long list of district's miscommunication, discommunication purposely nebulous. |
