"social media" English homework

Teachers have to figure out how to get the attention of students.

One post parents say that the teacher is boring, not creative, does not engage the students interest. Now this post says, stop the creativity and what interest the student. Just go to the basics.

Teachers will always lose.

The assignment really is silly, but likely was well intentioned.

You realize those are different people though, right? Teachers will always lose with someone - humans will always lose with someone too.

what is the value in that. Why not have them write a journal entry instead so they can learn to actually write.

Writing teacher, and I can assure you not all value is in writing essays. The tweet POV assignment is great, quick supplemental work.

The student really has to think like the character, mimic their language and thoughts, and practice being concise!

I do these assignments and since they are so short, I require perfect grammar.

Don't knock what you clearly haven't thought through.
