Continued Care Communities or Assisted Living in DC or Maryland

I can't say enough good things about the community at Maplewood Park Place on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda.

Mom is there and thriving with her new friends!

Is she in Independent Living?

Thanks, PP. That place looks very good from initial research. Appreciate the recommendation!

Yes. She's in the Independent Living part of Vinson Hall. There's assisted living and memory care there as well, as well as a short-term skilled nursing facility that she was in for three weeks after back surgery. The timing worked out really well because she'd been living there for 4-5 months before the surgery, so she had lots of friends come visit her in the SNF after surgery and that really helped keep her spirits up.

My parents have been in a Brightview for a year now and they are happy. It's very safe (no steps, call buttons in the apartment), with plenty of opportunities to be social if they want. The food is fine, but not fabulous. The staff is very engaged and goes out of their way to be helpful. Go check out of a few locations because they all have different vibes, and keep in mind that rent will increase each this, this year it went up 6%.

Which location?
