Ha! It's true -- one of the things I like about DCUM is the ability to express harmless opinions that I normally keep to myself because they tend to make people irrationally mad IRL. Instead they make people irrationally mad on the internet, and you can argue about it without messing up your actual relationships. |
Everyone has different opinions, and they are entitled to those opinions.
Based on other points in this thread, here are my opinions. 1. Hamilton is brilliant. 2. In the Heights is overrated. 3. LMM is an exceptionally-talented writer and lyricist. 4. LMM is a mediocre actor and singer. Like I said, everyone has their opinions. Almost certainly, no one cares about others' opinions, but we are welcome to share them. |
Banksy is not a POC, hon |
I only saw it on Disney+
It was … ok. I wasn’t overwhelmed by it. There were some parts I liked better than others. |
Hamilton stank. Moana on the other hand... |
UMC white women whose husbands can’t satisfy them also LOVE calling people “hon” anonymously on the internet. Its fake superiority. You’d kiss my a$$ face to face then run home to try and Google where I got my shoes. Carry on, lower back tat. |
Agree with this 100% btw. Moana is phenomenal. |
I share your opinion although I think I’d phrase it In the Heights is not for me. Oh, and I agree with the general consensus that Moana is great! |
Tried to watch Hamilton when it was on Disney and I couldn’t get through more than about ten minutes. I don’t get it. Also hated Moana. And I thought “You’re Welcome” was the ONLY decent song… |
Same except I just found it boring. |
There was a time when people on here got so mad when people didn't love it and I don't know how many times a stray comment from Common was trotted out to confirm its hip hop bona fides.
My pre-teen kids do like it thought, so I just smile. |
Cringe. |
Yikes, someone sure got triggered about Banksy being white |
Hamilton is a headache inducing mess. The songs are horrible. Its an emperor has no clothes thing. Thankfully we're here to tell the truth. |
Somehow it's still selling out every week on Broadway nine years and counting. |
