Unfortunately, no one worth listening to would have a podcast for telling people what to do. |
I also heard he was into sausage fests, if you know what I mean. |
Yes, I agree with you. I'm a feminist but I think it's an untold side of the whole metoo movement. That women seem so primally driven to pursue men with power and status that they will put up with (or even enjoy) a lot – cheating, humiliation, debasement. In this case, these women probably had a lot of clues about him, but were willing to deal with it. After the fact, they gripe and complain, but something doesn't ring true. Look at the hundreds of women who put up with Harvey Weinstein (case in point his extraordinarily beautiful wife), willingly put up with whatever they had to do and exchange for their own status and power, and then jumped on the bandwagon and complained only after everyone else talked about it. I don't buy the narrative that they were all forced into it Andrew Huberman is the same type of guy. But there are shades of it all around – probably lots of DC law firm partners or high earning cardiologists who have the same types of relationships behind closed doors. |
He’s quite good looking, as podcasters and scientists go. I certainly have never met a male scientist who looks like him. |
This is so strange. I literally have never heard of this guy until today when I saw his podcast recommended on another forum. I Googled him to see what the podcast was about and found the expose. So I guess I won't be adding that one to my library! |
Does he have an extensive academic publication history? If so, I bet there's lots of holes in his data and conclusions. Would be interesting if anyone tried to replicate his work.
A fraud like this probably also committed academic fraud. |
Have you met many scientists? Lots of them are good looking. |
LOL, you are definitely not. |
^^ You are not a feminist in the least when you skewer women for falling for narcissists. |
Hahahaha, as if those with extensive academic publications don't commit academic fraud. https://www.nbcnews.com/science/science-news/allegations-research-misconduct-roil-dana-farber-cancer-institute-rcna135521 |
DP. That's not how I, also a feminist, read it. I read that some women are fully aware of these men's faults and lies, yet still continue to be with them for personal gain and also don't call them out. But then jump on the bandwagon and cry as if victims when these men are exposed. |
He's disgusting |
You two "feminists" are not shaming the man behind the deceit -- only the woman who "should have known better." The main woman described red flags, but not all of the others did, so why are blaming and shaming them? Also, re Harvey Weinstein. You both clearly know that he was predatory and that Gwyneth Paltrow left the industry after winning an Oscar because she couldn't see a path forward in the industry without placating him. She also went on record with Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey to help them break the story. But, sure blame her. Blame the other women who didn't see another path forward, rather than blaming the men who aided and abetted this gross culture. You both likely have some internalized misogyny you might want to question. We all do if we grew up in the US, but some of us have been working to shed light on it. |
Yep. In it for the fame and to seduce women. If he's not a fraud in his work, good, but wouldn't be surprised. |
This type of victim-blaming BS pisses me off. Tell me you know nothing about narcissistic abuse and its insidious nature, without telling me. Those of us who have actually endured long-term narcissistic abuse can completely understand how *anyone* can fall victim and become trauma-bonded. |
