To me, Miraval felt more luxe and peaceful.

I agree with this. I've been to Canyon Ranch, Lake Austin Spa, Lodge at Woodloch, Miraval Arizona and Miraval Ausin.

They are all spectacular. But there is something magic about the Miraval experience.

This is preferable to the Nordic Spa in Kananaskis. Also, it’s technically in Vernon, not Kelowna. Not to nitpick
but as a local, there is a difference that may affect your travel planning

Agree that Sparkling Hill is better.
You'd fly into Kelowna and then use spa shuttle to Sparkling Hill or rent a car. The shuttle is probably easier if you want to just spa. It really is beautiful and there's plenty to do and a decent array of food options.

I love the Lodge at Woodloch, I’ve talked to several solo women there for a break. It has wonderful food and wine, including wine dinners, and it’s a lovely place. But its driving distance and an easy 3 day weekend, so if you want to spend lots of money, I’d go somewhere further away.

Sanctuary in Paradise Valley, AZ and Thousand Waves in Santa Fe, NM are lovely, especially in the spring.

Southwest just announced they're starting direct flights from BWI to Colorado Springs, but I don't remember when they'll start.

+1.

I have sat in the Broadmoor spa many times over the years gazing out at Cheyenne Mountain. One of my favorite places in the world.

1. Miraval Berkshires
2. Amanyara
3. Lake Austin spa (more lake views than anything else, but stunning)
3. Lodge at Woodloch

Thank you.

Lake Austin spa looks amazing - but too expensive for the friends im travelling with.

Anyone have any less expensive recommendations - anywhere in Texas? Thanks

This sounds like a fabulous idea and something I'd fantasize about. Honestly, I had a 2 1/2 day layover trip in Vegas several years ago and it was heaven. Fabulous spa at Wynn, great food, drinks at the pool, etc. Everyone is a tourist so nothing looks weird or out of place. I know Vegas isn't as serene as some of the other suggestions (and I wouldn't mind a spa trip to a top resort in Scottsdale or Sedona) but everything was right there in Vegas and I was all about the spa and they were top notch.

I love canyon ranch in az but I wouldn’t say that it has amazing views?

If you go hiking or biking, you do. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. I have been at least a dozen times and the desert sky takes my breath away! LOVE Tuscon and Arizona.

+1 We have done several girls trips there- very affordable for what you get. The spa is amazing and you have access to everything inside which is a great set up with various plunge pools and saunas and private spa pools with even just one treatment.

True

Stay there for work. And have been surrounded
by very MAGAesque wedding parties. Loud drunk good ‘ol’ boys and cackling drunk that got a hall pass from kitchen and baby duty.
