| Are there any fire stations in either NW DC or the Bethesda area that host kids' birthday parties? We have a fire-truck obsessed son who would love such a venue. I'm pretty sure DC doesn't do it, but we're willing to venture into close in bethesda if they'd have us. Thanks for any leads! |
What a great idea! I don't know about hosting a party, but my DC's preschool class went on a tour of a firehouse in DC one year, which took about 20 minutes. |
| Check at the Tenleytown and Bethesda (Bradley and Wisc) stations. |
| We just came back from a birthday party at the Kensington Fire Department and it was a hit! They have a party room down stairs so you can bring food, cake, etc and then everyone heads up stairs to climb on the fire truck and watch a firefighter put on the gear. Very nice especially for winter birthdays where your options are limited. |
| We did kensington too and it was great. |

Check out the link below for the 2011 season Fire Truck Birthday Parties they will bring the Fire truck to your house, MD, DC, and lower PA .. They have all the gear even kid sized stuff, goodie bags, and birthday child receives a "future firefighter" t-shirt to keep.!!!! they do rides on the truck and in the summer, kids can play in the water from the real fire hose coming from the truck !!! http://www.BubbasFireTruckParties.com |
so pissed i didn't think to ask this question for my firetruck obsessed son's january birthday!! maybe next year if he's still into it.

Our son Hunter's birthday was done by The Bubbaville Fire Unit. He and his friends had a great time although I think our friends seemed to like the Fire truck just as well. There were 3 Fire Fighters on the truck, they showed up at 1pm at our house in Silver Spring, right on time but we asked them to wait several minutes to start because all the kids had'nt arrived yet, which they had no problem with. They set up signs and cones at the end of the streets to let our neighbors know there was a party going on. Very cool, Hunter had 15 friends and we got their "2nd Alarm Package" which included a ride..they did fire safety, talked about tools and played dress up, they even dressed my husband up in all the gear and oxygen tank. We got some great pictures of the kids in and on the truck. They have a website and are on Facebook..we sent them some pictures hopefully they will end up on their website?? Thanks Debbie and Chris A. |

Great idea! A mommy arranged a fire truck party at our daycare (I Missed it but heard about it) and I never did figure out how she managed it, now I know!
There is a fire station theme restaurant on Georgia Ave in Silver Spring that has a truck out front although you are not allowed to climb on it, they have an upstairs party room. |
