Just curious!
It doesn't matter to me when I am out grocery shopping etc. or even to work sometimes but cannot fathom them mismatching to a night out or an event. Actually, if I could pull it off, I might since I usually dislike "rules". |
I try to coordinate, but they don't necessarily 'match.' |
I never change my watch or my purse, and don't wear any other jewelry most of the time. Of course, I have a fairly defined wardrobe in terms of color, so it all ends up matching by mistake.
Highly recommend the book, "Simple Isn't Easy". It helped me realize it was ok to wear black every day. I banished brown and navy from my wardrobe altogether. Problem solved. |
I mix metals. |
14.42 even for formal wear? |
My purse has a small amount of gold hardware, ring and watch I almost always wear are platinum/ white gold. Though I wouldn't really mix my jewelry.... Except rare occasion I wear gold earrings I don't take off plat wedding band.

I'm curious how old PPs are! My mom and I have very different "rules" when it comes to matching.
I wear my silver/gold mixed watch on one wrist. 2 silver bracelets (one with a gold ball) and an aquamarine/diamond bracelet on my other wrist. Pretty much always wear my aquamarine silver pendant necklace and my blue diamond stud earrings (can you tell blue is my favorite color and DH ran with it?!?) Rings are my engagement/wedding ring (platinum), a gold tanzanite ring, and a gold emerald and diamond ring. SOMETIMES if I can get my act together, I'll change my studs to my second hole and wear some earrings that match my outfit. Or change my bracelets around My bags are all pretty basic so I'm not sure I can really not match with them! My mom, OTOH, matches everything down to the last detail! |
Yes. My engagement ring is a mix of yellow and white gold, so I figure that gives me license to mix metals elsewhere. And I don't go to very many formal events anyway. |
