Tilden MS

The survey results are pretty clear that there’s a problem. However if MCPS doesn’t use the results to try to change things, then everything stays as it is. So the real question is how is central office and the BOE using the data?

Don’t worry. The 8th grade mean girls are all moving on to Walter Johnson now. Nothing but up for Tilden now. Have never seen a more toxic, bullying, backstabbing group of girls. Not only to others but each other.

Good luck WJ. Hopefully some seniors will put them in their place

But Tilden has all red,

If this does not convince how bad situation is in Tilden then nothing will convince anyone.

Why is Tilden’s survey the only one color coded? Several other schools with similar numbers in some areas but nothing color coded and not even a key at the top
This is teachers survey and hard data. You can compare all middle schools in the same area. Tilden is really struggling with all reds.

It's get color coded during comparison with entire MCPS if difference is too much above or below average. If it's above average then it gets green and if below then gets red. Tilden is all RED due to having horrible teachers survey. All other middle schools in nearby area are mostly green.

Not green, but at least be in neutral range. Here it's all RED.

+1 Problems are real. Parents, kids, teachers everyone is saying that there are problems.

Some posters were blaming parents that their kids did not get invitation for some Jewish celebration and that's why parents were complaining. Now they may even say that Teachers are not invited for Jewish celebration that's why Teachers are giving bad reviews, lol. Luxmanor community seems toxic. Kids are learning at home how to exclude others and many in Luxmanor community defend that practice.

Actually excluding is fine, problem is being tone deaf about putting an advertisement for who were excluded. Anyway, that's just one example, but with attitude of parents and kids no wonder teachers are giving such a bad review to Tilden.

Tilden needs a serious change from community and admin. It used to be a decent school.

Tilden is going down the drain.

This is spot on. Those girls are terrible. Not only to other people in and outside of their school, but the backstabbing to each other. It’s embarrassing how these bullies aren’t loved by anyone

Tilden's neighboring, toxic civic assn. Think of it as the DCUM of civic assns.

Is it Luxmanor Civic Association? Is it so toxic?

How does this decline correlate with the arrival of the current principal? Didn’t she work at Farquhar prior to Tilden? That’s another school with unfavorable teacher survey results.

This is really bad. The responsible is Ms Hopkins, the principal and MCPS (She is new, she was never a Principal before).
The result from last year, many teachers left school, environment is toxic, it was very challenging year for the stuff and for the students.

She was an AP at Farquhar. Sounds like she picked up their poor leadership style.
