Pregnancy symptom?

Anonymous
My dh and I are TTC. I am 8 days past ovulation and my breasts have become very tender/sore which has never happened before (pms or otherwise). Test is negative but it's early in my cycle (day 18). Has this been anyone else's exprience?

Supposed to say day nineteen... Not the emoticon

Could be...! Wait until the first day of a missed period to test. If you're only 18 days into your cycle, you need to wait another 10 days to see a true positive, if it is there. Good luck!

Yes, tender breasts are a common pregnancy symptom. You may be pregnant, but only the test will tell! I know waiting is hard.

A really sensitive test may be able to pick it up in the next few days. But I always advise people to wait a little longer, because my very first positive resulted in a very early loss just a few days later, and that was heartbreaking. I was super-fertile after that though, and conceived that same month. In a way, I wish I hadn't known about it the first time, because it created so much anxiety the next.

Similar question, early in pregnancy (4-5weeks), did those with breast soreness notice any coming and going of tenderness or the "full" feeling or once it started, was it constant?

I've always been told that if your body is not producing enough hormones to show up positive on a pee test, it's not producing enough hormones to make you have symptoms either. You may be noticing things about your body that you never noticed before, or sometimes you just get random symptoms, or also sometimes wishful thinking can make you feel very real symptoms. You may very well be pregnant -- 8 dpo is certainly too early to call it a day -- but I would not get your hopes up based only on sore boobs.

Sorry, but that's just not true for everybody. I definitely had symptoms before it was time to test, with each of my two pregnancies. With the first, it was nausea, with the second, it was extremely sore boobs (and I never, and I mean NEVER, get sore boobs). Some people's bodies are just more sensitive to hormones than others.

I had this urge to go pee all the time (and I mean like once every 30 minutes) like I was just eating watermelon nonstop with my first two pregnancies at least a week before it was time to test. Nothing with my third pregnancy, so I think it varies not only by women but also by pregnancies.
