What age for Wii?

| Xbox is generally better for more "serious" games like first person shooters and Madden/FIFA and has Xbox live, an online community/multiplayer component. So yes, the Xbox is better for older kids but that doesn't mean your son will lose all interest in the Wii as he gets older. We got a Wii 6 years ago and I have 2 preteens and a teen who still play it, because they like less serious games like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. They're not interested in Call of Duty or shooter/sports games so no Xbox. |

The Wii is more little kid oriented.
DS loved the Wii till he was about 12 or so then it was all about the XBox. You should get a few years out of the Wii. The PP was right, the XBox games are oriented toward an older audience while the Wii has a lot of younger games. I wouldn't let DS have XBox till he turned 13 and I'm a gamer mom. |

They play Mario, Harry Potter and GoldenEye on it. |
