OP here. We do pay them (very little though) and they are wonderful. Also, they are only a few years older than my eldest and they are so nice and my son loves them. They come together (they are friends) and spend two hours playing with him. It’s the highlight of his week!

Unless they get service hours. We had a babysitter who did it for mandatory service hours, and we got her a gift as a token because we couldn't pay her and still have her service hours count.

How does babysitting count as SSL hours?
