PP, I agree no ballcap to a reunion but your reasoning is very strange. Many women wear them to run errands, to gym, at beach/pool, etc. to not have to do hair.

This sounds kind of old. Coastal grandmother.

How about something like this? You can wear a little jean jacket if you think you'll be cold.

Or a cute dress and boots?

I myself would wear Levi's and a snug black top, and cool shoes.

^Something like this would work.

I love that look! I want a sleek leg as I'm pretty broad shouldered and big chested. Wanting to play that down.

I love the look, too, but not for an afternoon grill party in Montana.

I think there are a lot of looks on this page that could work. I even kind of love that lace top with those jeans. Love all the cropped jeans and ankle boots.

Jeans, t-shirt, blazer, high heels, big smile and friendly hellos and actually be interested in the people you’re reuniting with.

Stop focusing on yourself, life is so much better that way.

Ignore this person, OP. They are not getting that most of us want help with an outfit on occasion. Plus, they recommended high heels and jeans to an afternoon grill party. Or, frankly, high heels and jeans at all.

No activewear. Can you look at photos from past years? I would wear jeans and a slightly dressy top (a pretty cotton blouse, or something a little festive). Linen or similar pants if you don’t like jeans.

I think OP must be in her 50s, right? I'm not sure how great she will look in ripped jeans.

I can totally see fitted jeans that aren't ripped with ankle boots, and a great top.

OP here. I won't wear ripped jeans... thinking sleek and dark.
