Used will be a PITA to transport.

I only use them at the gym when it's really awful out and DH walks our dog, or if I am recovering from an injury. I would not want one in my house.

Our Proform gets so much use it’s on the second motor! The original burned out after about 14 years but had a 15 year warranty, so the company sent us a replacement motor for free and DH installed it. I use it 5-7 days/week. If I’m walking or running alone, which is usually the case, I prefer to be indoors so I can read an ebook or watch TV. DH uses it less often, maybe 1-2 times/week.

I just bought a small walking pad (with a handle that can be tucked away) and put it right next to my desk. I work from home every day. I can hop up and take a break and walk on it for however long I have (usually 20-40 minutes) and I can do that several times a day. I enjoy taking a walk outside but that is less flexible between the weather, having to put on sunscreen and the. It becomes an ordeal that if I have less than 60 minutes to walk is a hassle. I set it up Monday morning and it is up all week and I fold it and tuck it behind a chair on weekends (my home office is in a corner of our dining room). I have not had it long but it is working out really well. It is small, compact, quiet, and easy to maneuver. I have a basket with soft hand weights that I hold during walking to amp up the workout a bit more.
