“A federal grand jury indicted Solomon Peña on four new charges in addition to charges that he allegedly hired others to shoot at homes of elected officials.

In an indictment filed last week, federal prosecutors alleged that 40-year-old Solomon Peña tried to hire two people to kill witnesses in a case against him.

Peña sought election to represent New Mexico House District 14 as a Republican but lost to Democrat Miguel Garcia in a 74% to 26% landslide. D14 includes some of southern Albuquerque and the South Valley.

A federal grand jury previously indicted Peña and the Trujillos on charges related to drive-by shootings at the Albuquerque homes of Bernalillo County Commissioner Adriann Barboa, state House Speaker Javier Martínez, Bernalillo County Commissioner Debbie O’Malley and state Sen. Linda Lopez.”

“New Hampshire Rep. Jon Stone (R) was ousted from the Claremont Police Department for threatening to rape the police chief’s daughter and go on a shooting spree. He's held public office for two terms now.

The documents reviewed by In Depth NH mostly come from 2006, when Stone was the subject of several investigations and had a reputation for being aggressive and unstable. Amid an investigation into his relationship with a 15-year-old high school student, other officers expressed concern that Stone would become violent. “If he gets fired, people are afraid he will go postal,” one detective at the department told Colby Casey, the detective who was investigating Stone. “He makes me nervous as far as after a confrontation with him, he may try to do something to my wife or family. Generally, people think he is crazy and wonder why he is a police officer.

. Another detective also recounted some especially disturbing comments from Stone: “I have heard him say (when he is pissed off) that he is going to go to the Chief’s house and rape his wife. He is going to make the Chief watch. He is going to possibly hurt the Chief while he is there,” the officer said, according to internal documents. “I recall Jon saying he was going to go to the Chief’s house and rape the Chief’s wife, and kids, and shoot the Chief.”

Luis Borunda, a former Deputy Secretary of State under Republican Governor of Maryland Larry Hogan, has been indicted for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material following charges last August for soliciting a minor. In 2017, President Donald Trump announced Borunda, a former chairman of Hispanic Republicans of Maryland, as one of the three officials he intended to appoint to investigate allegations of voter fraud in the 2016 election.
