pregnant at 47

Well...this post was started because the poster was treated through Dominion Fertility.

I went there too, and had healthy b/g twins from IVF with my own eggs at age 42.

Now, with the Natural IVF option...I would go to Dominion Fertility in a heart beat. Loved them, loved Dr. Gordon...

And trust me...not everything was rose colored...and not everything went perfectly...but I LOVED them...and that LOVE and dedication from me came during a traumatic trisomy pregnancy that had to be terminated...long before I was successful in my TTC journey.

Creating a family is complicated no matter the age. I wish success and peace to all the parents and would-be parents and people who do something else than be parents and... etc.

To all older PP's: google best IVF clinics based on stat data and consider out of state clinics. If you have the money, consider out of state clinics. I did and delivered at age 45 w my own eggs.

Well the OP of this thread stayed local, but I may look at CCRM if no luck with this 3rd round.

CCRM is so expensive, especially when you factor in traveling cost.

Just how many NC cycles should I try? I'm 42.5, FSH 14, AMH 0.2, have regular cycles but have never been pregnant and haven't tried any tx yet?
Anonymous
seems like it only takes 1-2 for some, but many, many more for others...we are giving it 3 tries then moving on

NCIVF may be my only chance with my eggs....we are giving it at least 3 tries

just found out my third try worked, it's early so I'm not broadcasting it to loudly but it's the first ever BFP (177 14dp3dt)

PP: Congratulations & good luck!

How old are you? What clinic/RE? How many attempts? First pregnancy?

Inquiring minds want to know...

PP 23:22 here I'm 42.5 and did NCIVF at DF

I think the staff at Dominion just sits around and makes these posts.
Anonymous
Well...if you think that...OK for you.

I DIDN'T think that they sit around and make posts up all day long, and I actually had them work for me...

I love my twinkies...and I am so thankful for Dr. G and DF!

Every time I have been in that office the staff is incredibly busy and like you PP I love Dr. G as well as the others I have seen for monitoring. I'm just hoping I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't have to do multiple cycles to get a BFP.
