I posted a related question on the TTC forum, but this may be the better place to ask this specific question. I've been reading a number of anecdotes online about people who conceived the same cycle right after an HSG test, but went on to have miscarriages. I don't know if it's just coincidence. Anyone here conceive right after an HSG but go on to deliver a healthy baby? I just don't know how concerned to be about what the radiation might be doing to the maturing egg follicle. (My doctor said it would be fine, but I can't help but worry after reading all those anecdotes.) Yes, I could wait a month, but DH doesn't want to try beyond late summer, so every month counts.
I didn't but my BFF did. He is 6 now.
Me! Healthy 3.5 yo DD. Honestly never considered the effect of the dye on the egg until right now.
Me too. My doc told me to give it a good try immediately after the hsg as it's reputed to clean things out and give a better chance of conception. Never heard any concerns about dyes. My hsg baby is about to turn 3.
Yes. He is almost 2.
I conceived the next month, but only because it was a crazy month and DH was not cooperative on attempting at the right time. I completely credit the HSG with clearing the pipes so to speak. I know multiple women that conceived this way.
23:28 here, perfectly healthy almost 4 year old FWIW.
Yes. Healthy 6YO.
Yes-a healthy 4 year old!
|
Yes, a healthy 3 year old. I too credit the HSG for clearing out my pipes, although who knows?
OP, what's up with you husband not wanting to try after the summer? Does he have other plans for the fall?

My HSG baby is nearly 9.
[i]Yep! And after 2 failed IVF's. She's 3.
