My 16 month old wakes up SOAKING wet (all the way through her pjs and her sleep sack) almost every morning. and this morning i was greeting with an enormous poop that leaked through the diaper as well.
I currently have her in the 7th Generation overnight diaper. I like that it doesn't have the chlorine that the other diapers do, but at this point, I'm willing to try ANY diaper that will hold more!!! Thank you for any recs you have! |

Oh darn, I just ordered a case of the 7th Generation overnight diapers to try, this is not good news! I wrote a post asking about them last week, and they got good reviews on here (and from the Amazon reviews)
We are using regular 7th Generation diapers during the day (anything else caused a terrible rash) as my 7 month old leaks. Right now, we are changing him before we go to bed at night, and he occasionally leaks even with a mid-evening change with a regular diaper. |
| We used Huggies Overnites and found they worked better than anything else we tried. We use cloth diapers with a hemp booster during the day. |
| I have found Huggies for overnights work the best, but then around the 23 month mark even those leaked. My solution has been to use a cloth diaper pre-fold AND the Huggies Overnights, and so far that has been working well for us. (Using all cloth even doubled up leaked.) |
| Huggies overnights are the best by far. I suggest one size larger than your daytime diaper. |
| Huggies overnights were OK for us, but Pampers worked better. Right now we're using regular Target diapers one size larger than daytime and it's working pretty well. I recommend one size up from daytime diapers no matter what brand you use. |
+1. |
| The Goodnites are better than Huggies, IME. You can also double-diaper (I always had to double-diaper with Huggies, don't need to with Goodnites) |
| We haven't had success with any brand for overnight except Earth's Best, which is also what we use during the day. Pampers, in our experience, are terrible. They always leaked. |

1. Go up a size from your daytime diaper.
2. Add a diaper booster: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4417048 (I have seen them at Babies R Us) While they may look like a maxi-pad, don't think you can get by using a maxi-pad - the liner pushes the moisture up. The diaper booster doesn't have that liner. 3. Add a diaper cover: http://www.amazon.com/Mother-Ease-One-Size-Cloth-Diaper-Medium/dp/B00322KOB8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335930936&sr=8-1 This will at least contain the wet diaper so she's not soaking wet on the outside. I'm one of the ones who had good reviews for the Seventh Generation overnights. I had used Huggies before, and found that they worked about the same. |
| Huggies overnights one size up worked for us. Pampers were awful. I was really surprised about how much better Huggies were. |
| I use huggie overnights and then put liners for adult diapers in it. Works well. |
Yup. |
| Try cloth. There's a brand called Pooters that makes cloth diapers from natural hemp and bamboo fibers. Hemp is the most absorbent fabric on the planet. It stopped my son's leaks for good. |
| I like the store brand CVS. They have a nighttime diaper. |
