My old RE (out of town) suggested him and his stats look great, but I have never heard of him. With all of the clinics here, if he is this good, I wonder why aren't more people seeing him?
Positive or negative feedback would be great! |

| I did not enjoy my experience there. Also, they are closed on the weekends and some holidays. |
| Yes, I saw that in older posts. How do they handle fluctuating cycles if they are not open on weekends? |
| And as far as the CDC results and good labs go, this clinic seems to be on top, but no one seems to be using them. Is this just a largely undiscovered place, or is something off here? |
| I did not have a good experience with him at all. Everyone is different so you may actually have a positive experience. I think of myself as being relatively thick skinned but my experience with him was really difficult on many levels. I think his stats are good because he cherry picks his patients. |
| I've heard the same thing about him 'cherry picking' his patients. I've also heard that he is very smooth but has a terrible temper and has a VERY high opinion of himself. (A friend of mine went there and did NOT have a good experience. She has since moved to NY). |
| A friend of mine had success with him. I considered him for like half a second then realized the stress of going to Reston from DC and Arlington on only weekdays might put me over the edge. |

I did most of my testing with him and went somewhere else for treatment because I didn't like the way we were treated there. In regards to being closed on the weekends and certain holidays (this is based only on my experience during testing) they told me if my D1 is on a Friday then to come in on Monday (which is D4) and if D1 is on Thursday then come in on Friday which is D2. So basically, if your D3 lands on the weekend, you'll have to be seen before or after. I wasn't able to do one test there because he was going on vacation so I was told I had to wait until the next cycle.
Everyone is different. You might like him, you might not. Best of luck to you. |

Hi, this is OP. Think I'll stay with my current practice, where everyone is nice, its convient to my home and work and I have no reason not to be hopeful I will have good results.
Thanks for all of your responses! |
| I liked him, but go with ur gut |
| I friend of my had success with IVF with him. I was ready to set up a consult with him when we finally got a BFP. My plan was just to do a consult to see if he would actually do anything differently that my current RE. The receptionist I spoke with was very nice and my friend had nothing but positive things to say about the practice. If you're considering him, I would definitely do a consult just to see what he would change, if anything. It can't hurt! |
| I have really liked him so far. He seems very interested in what's up and is no nonsense. He gets you started on a treatment plan right away. I'm staying to do some procedures now even though he stopped taking my insurance (so I pay out of network rates now, still coverage, but not 100% as before). I really do feel he knows what he is doing and has a method. A friend conceived through IVF with him a few years ago. |
| I had a terrible experience with him. I used him for all of my testing and had no fertility issues present themselves. He then randomly claimed I had a short cervix and couldn't sustain a pregnancy. We went to another doctor for a second opinion who claimed that everything Dr. Sharara had claimed about my cervicx was false. That was 5 years ago. I have since had two healthy pregnancies. |
| i went to him, had 3 iuis, 2 ivfs, all failed...I ended up finding success at CCRM, but i did like him...just didnt work for me |
