Does anyone know if any area schools offer tuition remission? Washington Episcopal? St. Albans? NCS? Holton? Stone Ridge?
Thank you. |
Do you mean financial aid? Most do if you qualify. |
Norwood offers remission for faculty and staff. |
GDS, WES andd St. Patrick's gives tuition remission for employees. |
I don't know about GDS and WES, but I do know that St. Patrick's does not give remission to employees. I used to work there and I paid every single last cent of tuition for my children. What they do offer is free extended day for faculty which is nice for the days that there are meetings or conferences and no regular school. |
No I mean tuition remission which is a tuition break for the children of employees |
I heard no at WES from a former teacher. Anyone can you say for sure? What about Ncs? |
NCS no, St. Albans yes |
I heard yes from a current WES employee. |
The Cathedral schools told me when I applied for a job there several years ago that they do not offer remission; instead they do not count staff/faculty salaries in calculations for financial aid, which effectiely lowers your HHI. |
St. Albans definitely offers full tuition for sons of faculty; maybe the rule above applies to staff? There is also an endowed fund from a St. Albans donor that supports the tuition for St. Albans' faculty daughters at NCS. |
Really? Because I applied for a teaching job at NCS years ago and I'm pretty sure they DID have tuition remission then. This was probably about 12 years ago, though, so things may have changed. |
Nope. NCS offers only need-based aid to faculty children. I'm told that very few qualify. There's a big disparity between benefits at NCS and St Albans. |
Visi offers remission. |
Holton offers about 1/2 off for employees kids. |
